FAQs
Breast Scar Healing
Can you remove scars for people with darker skin tones?
The short answer is yes. I have treated breast scars on every skin type, skin color and ethnicity. It should be noted that in the case of these surgery scars there are variants in type and color that must be considered when performing a corrective tattoo to conceal the scar. That is why the consultation step is especially important, in order for me to assess the unique details of your scar when creating your treatment plan.
How long after a procedure can I get my scar camouflage tattoo?
The client seeking a camouflage tattoo for a breast augmentation should wait a minimum of 6 months before having their first treatment. Many clients like to plan their surgery and healing treatments together and so we encourage you to reach out to us in advance of your treatments to discuss and schedule your appointments.
I have a breast scar from cancer or another surgery, do you cover those?
Yes, we cover all types of scars no matter their origin. We will advise you on the optimal treatment for your scar type.
Should I avoid tanning beds after surgery to protect the scars?
Exposure to ultraviolet light, whether from sunlight or tanning beds, can significantly darken surgical scars and interfere with proper healing. For at least 6 months post-op, it’s best to completely avoid tanning beds, apply daily sunscreen, and protect scars from sun exposure. Tanning beds are never recommended, even after scars have matured.
