The surgeons role
Concealing Tummy
Tuck Scars
The key to hiding facelift scars is having an experienced surgeon. In some cases they will do the stitching on the inside which can also improve results.
They'll use specialized tools to stitch you up perfectly. And certain techniques during surgery reduce tension on the scars while they heal. Less tension = thinner scars.
Even with every precaution taken, there still may be scarring remaining around the stomach, but not to worry! Camouflage tattoo is an excellent solution for this kind of scar.

Can you remove scars for people with darker skin tones?
The short answer is yes. I have treated tummy tuck scars on every skin type, skin color and ethnicity. It should be noted that in the case of Tummy tuck scars there are variants in type and color that must be considered when performing a corrective tattoo to conceal the scar. That is why the consultation step is especially important, in order for me to assess the unique details of your scar when creating your treatment plan.
How long after a procedure can I get my scar camouflage tattoo?
The client seeking a camouflage tattoo for a Tummy tuck should wait a minimum of 6 months before having their first treatment. Many clients like to plan their surgery and healing treatments together and so we encourage you to reach out to us in advance of your treatments to discuss and schedule your appointments.
I have a tummy scar from cancer or another surgery, do you cover those?
Yes, we cover all types of scars for the stomach area. This includes belly button scars, C- section scars, abdominoplasty scars and scars originating from cancer removal treatments.
Should I avoid tanning beds after a facelift to protect the scars?
Exposure to ultraviolet light, whether from sunlight or tanning beds, can significantly darken surgical scars and interfere with proper healing. For at least 6 months post-op, it’s best to completely avoid tanning beds, apply daily sunscreen, and protect scars from sun exposure. Tanning beds are never recommended, even after scars have matured.
